Summary/Abstract: The article of the textology of the Slavonic troparion of St. Thecla (24th of September) from the early Slavonic lectionaries reviews the preservation of inauthentic phrases already present in earliest Greek manuscripts which include the Typikon of ‘the Great Church of the New Rome’. But these phrases were added in manuscripts written in an environment dominated by the Old Rome. Furthermore, this review demonstrates that in the praxapostles which contain the first Slavonic translations, words related to apocrypha text about this Saint are deliberately avoided. The article traces the later versions of the Slavonic text of the troparion in accordance with newer Greek manuscripts, both in the praxapostle and in the Prologue, and draws conclusions about the contemporary Church Slavonic text.
