Summary/Abstract: A decade ago, in 2012, a social campaign titled “Citizen-friendly plain language” was announcedand the First Congress of Official Language was held. Since then the idea of plain language hasbeen developing in Poland – in both public administration and business. It consists in formulatingcommunications such that they can be read quickly and understood when being read for thefirst time. This article aims to compile and describe the major entities, initiatives, and actionsconcerned with simplification of communication (plain language) in Poland.
