Summary/Abstract: Historically, mentoring has been a successful area of research both in the field of educational philosophy and pedagogy. The study reviews the short history of the philosophy of mentoring and describes the roots of the contemporary field of pedagogical mentoring. Furthermore, the paper reports on the participation of J. Selye University in the MENTRA project.
