Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to provide an insight into the specialised language of logistics in German and at the same time to describe the technical vocabulary of logistics in German from various aspects (horizontal and vertical structure). The lexicological analysis is followed by lexicographical investigations, which primarily focus on typological questions concerning the dictionary or specialised dictionary. The type and structure of a logistical dictionary with German as a source language depend strongly on the target group and the primary purpose of use. Taking into account different target groups, three possible dictionary types and structures are outlined, each of which is illustrated in the article using a specific dictionary entry.
