Summary/Abstract: The article is a contribution to the research on selected current and potential legal problems related to the practice of road cycling. They concern both recreational and competitive sports and cover not only to the issue of liability for accidents, but also more broadly – to the application of regulations and non-legal traffic rules, both during and outside organized competitions. The article was written to commemorate Ryszard Szurkowski (1946–2021).
