Summary/Abstract: The soloist performance, which emerged as a result of the changes experienced since the beginning of the 20th century, brought with it differences in form, and artistic and technical aspects compared to previous performances. In the face of these changing and developing situations regarding voice training, the needs of singers have also begun to change. With these needs, it is seen that planned teaching and evaluation have become a necessity in terms of preparation for singing. In this study, the validity and reliability analysis of the performance rating scale, which was prepared to measure basic skills in Turkish singing education, was performed. In this study, which is in the descriptive survey model, the quantitative research method was adopted. During the determination of the scale items, a literature review was conducted. Student performances were scored by experts through the rubric prepared in line with expert opinions. Validity and reliability analyzes were performed on the obtained data using the SPSS package program. It has been concluded that the prepared performance rating scale is valid and reliable.
