Summary/Abstract: The article deals with Criminal Law Clinic, taught at the Faculty of Law Palacký University Olomouc as an elective course during interruptions of fulltime studies, in the period from March 2020 till the end of 2021. During this period, the studies were suddenly transferred to fully online teaching regime while the study term was in progress, in the next term, all teaching was fully online and in the latest term, it was vital to react to the needs of hybrid teaching, which means fulltime teaching and as far as possible, also an adequate online transmission in the distance form. Since the course is taught practically together with simulation features, it was essential to deal with plenty of problems resulting from the online form. The article defines profession competence of students and accordingly analyses limits of acquiring this competence in the distance form of teaching. The author also deals with the foundations of online teaching of this clinical course, challenges faced by teachers and students, real experience from practice of distance teaching and evaluates the impacts of teaching in the period after Covid-19 pandemic.
