Summary/Abstract: Max Reinhardt (1873-1943), an outstanding Austrian theatrical director, influenced Polish theatrical life not only in the Polish Modernist times, but later as well. Within the Between-World-War two decades, he had a great impact on the actual shape of many significant performances. He still kept in touch with Polish director Ryszard Ordyński. His works were discussed in Polish specialist magazines of those times.
