Summary/Abstract: In this article, we will take an approach to the main theories of integration, in which we will analyse the defining elements of each theory and how they have contributed to the development of the European Union. In this way, we will be able to understand what were the key points from each period of the integration process and on what was the focus of the process. It also gives us an overview of the nuances of European integration throughout the European project.
