Summary/Abstract: The present study focuses on the relationship between the social support and smoking cessation program in the cardio-vascular pathology, in particular the impact of social support type on the nonsmokers behaviours. In this study there have been used Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support SMSSP (Zimet, Dahlem, Zimet & Farley, 1988) and Scales measuring effort-reward-imbalance at work (Siegrist, 2002). There have been 60 subjects that have participated to this study, patients that have been diagnosed with arterial hypertension and peripheral arterial disease The results of the study show that the social support levels of the patient postintrevention responsive of the non-smoking behaviour after 12 months of finish smoking cessation therapy(R Square Change=,762). The peer group increase the effect of smoking cessation program moderate r2=0,074
