HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND WOMEN'S ENTREPRENEURSHIP: A REVIEW OF THE STUDIES IN MALATYA

Summary/Abstract: Entrepreneurship is the basis of economic development. Today, the main reaseon for the development of developed countries is their activities for entrepreneursship. Entrepreneurs who carry out these activities bring together other production factors to produce goods and services, contribute to employment and realize economic development. The increase in the number of female and male entrepreneurs in a country accelerates the economic development of that country and raises the country to the level of developed countries. This is the biggest reason underlying the development of developed countries today, and it is important to support womens’s entrepreneurship. As a result of the social changes experienced with the developing Technologies, the number of women participating in the working life is increasing day by day. Today, encouraging women to be entrepreneurs by including policies that support entrepreneurs is an important investment for both women and the country's economy. Therefore, women entrepreneurs in Turkey should be supported and encouraged, and they should be informed about the steges of business establishment and execution related to entrepreneurial actives. However, there are many social and economic problems in our country that prevent women from taking part in working life. With the elimination of these problems, it will be easier for carried out, an analysis study was carried out by including the literature review. In the study, the participation processes of women entrepreneurs in Turkey and the difficulties they experince are mentioned and the similarity levels of the research carried out in Malatya with the literature studies are examined by giving place to the studies in the literature results have been achieved. On the other hand, different suggestions have been made so that women entrepreneurs can go further in the field of entrepreneurship and increase their level of information.
