Summary/Abstract: Priest Florian Rusan is a lesser known figure of the Transylvanian Orthodox clergy. However, through his rich activity, his moral stature and his defence of the Romanians' rights from Transylvania, this priest imposed himself in the gallery of the great clerical figures. I have tried to illustrate his life and activity based on unpublished information from different archives. Florian Rusan participated in the most important moment of the union of Transylvania with Romania from December 1st, 1918. Twice he led the Orthodox Deanery of Alba Iulia as administrator.
