Summary/Abstract: Successfulness of an enterprise greatly depends on quality and quantity of information. High productivity of successful enterprises is due to application of modern technology and contemporary concept of organization and management. Existing of a build information system that in itself covers all subsystems is guarantee for enterprise successfulness and placement on European markets, whereto precondition is high quality at optimal costs of working. That means information system in the enterprise should be projected to realize the total quality of business process, at the lowest possible costs of working. Information system should picture the vision and aims of enterprise, which means practicing methodology and examining markets for satisfying of buyers needs, defining and projecting quality of all business processes, protecting the environment, motivation and satisfaction of employees, and earn profit based on all these starting elements. TQM as a modern concept of quality management is based on standardization, statistical process control, costs, motivation and education. Application of this concept understands managing quality and quantity of information at all hierarchical levels. Information system should enable connection of aims of the enterprise and its current working. In this paper we presented application of the TQM concept in projecting of information systems. In the projected information system has been elaborated the electronic data exchange in the working units and departments of maintenance and reconstruction of rail vehicles, data bases, as well as possibilities for improvement of the existing systems, all with an aim to improve quality.
