Summary/Abstract: In this article, the importance and meaning of the Balkans for Turkish foreign policy is explained. For this purpose, the historical ties between Turkey and the Balkans, the Balkan origin population in Turkey, the Turkish-Muslim peoples in the Balkans and the geopolitical position and importance of the Balkans are explained respectively. In the conclusion part, some suggestions about Turkey's Balkan policy are presented.
