PERSPECTIVES OF URBAN WAY OF LIFE IN BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA

Summary/Abstract: Having in mind complexity and multi-dimension of the term “city”, text which you have in front of you has approached the analysis of city way of life and urbanity with certain tenderness. Additional reason for the carefully analysis lies in the fact that this is very complex subject, which has not been explored in more details in sociological framework. Detailed exploring of relevant scientific sources shows that there are no integral interpretations or monographic studies of urbanity, neither empirical research. Lack of domestic sources and literature that would in more wider context explore urban way of life and at the same time significant number of international books of urban-sociological character (which present fragments of life in highly developed Western societies such as metropolis, global cities, con-urban systems, suburbs etc, which are not totally applied on B&H urban life) have provoked this specific way of non-experimental research, which results will help to lighten B&H urbanity in the end of the first decade of 21st century, as well as it’s perspectives.
