Summary/Abstract: The importance of the work. In the conditions of modern development of the economy, in the conditions of the market economy, the enterprise is the main actor of economic relations, since the production of goods, necessary goods and services provided is carried out precisely at the micro level, that is, at the level of organizations. By definition, a business is an independent, organizationally separate business entity whose activities are focused on the production and sale of goods and services. It is a fact that most businesses compete with each other, which then leads to continuous improvement of operations, quality of goods produced and services provided, and increased efficiency of operations. All of these lead the organization to increase profits and improve competitive positions. Therefore, one of the most important problems in the economic field at the moment is the problem of increasing the productivity of enterprises. In order to have a complete idea of the characteristics that an "ideal business" should have, how to achieve the maximum profitability of its activities, it is necessary to understand how the performance of the business is determined and to develop appropriate ways to improve it.
