Summary/Abstract: When we look at the historical evidence of the movements, we see that the choir conducting, which did not come to the fore as a musical expression until the 19th century, is quite old. Hieroglyphs found in Egypt and Pharaonic friezes engraved depictions of chief movements; We see these traces in the figures recorded in Greek and Roman literature, and in cheironomic neumas in Jewish and Gregorian texts. Modern choirmasters, who have developed from the past to the present, have a significant impact on musical dynamics, expression, motivation, vocal production, musicality and interpretation, as well as on the performance, as well as specifying rhythm and inputs and outputs. As each behavior and gesture used affects these dynamics, we can talk about a musical interpretation and that all these behaviors point to a musical communication. In the research, musical communication methods used by choir conductors and the effects of these methods on musical dynamics and performance and interpretation were examined.
