Summary/Abstract: This paper contains the data about two meritorious and mainly forgotten translators – Mihajlo Mico Ljubibratic (1839-1895) and Marko Vidojkovic (1895-1964). Ljubibratic made the first complete translation of Qur’an into our language. So, in the South Slavic culture he opened up a new period of demystifying attitude towards Slavic Moslemhood. Vidojković translated from Russian and French. That comprehensive translational venture pervaded almost the whole culture of Slavic south. The part of that Vidojkovic’s venture was the first complete translation of the Thousand and One Nights. This translation was a significant addition to at least, emotional de-construction of prevailing images about Muslim culture and the possibility of its presence in the plurality of peoples and languages. The author emphasized the need to study the life and works both Ljubibratic and Vidojkovic, and knowledge inclusion about them into contemporary cultural trends.
