Summary/Abstract: Researchers who have focused their attention on conceptualizing, evaluating, and studying the psychosocial dimension of the classroom environment have emphasized the importance of this factor in the learning process. The quality of pedagogical action in the classroom is highly dependent on the social skills and interpersonal behavior of the teacher. The present study deals with studentsʼ views on the social skills of teachers working in primary education. Ninety-two third or fourth grade students completed the Romanian version of an abbreviated form of the Questionnaire on Teacher Interaction/QTI [11, 23, 24]. The studentsʼ responses were analyzed descriptively. They illustrate the expectations that young school children have of their teachers.
