GEOPOLITICAL DEVELOPMENTS AT A GLOBAL LEVEL AND POSSIBLE CONCLUSIONS AND LESSONS TO BE LEARNED FOR THE POLITICAL AND MILITARY ELITE OF ROMANIA

Summary/Abstract: During the last twenty years, the world has entered a dangerous state of turmoil and chaos. Numerous political and military analysts from NATO and non-NATO member countries almost unanimously agree that phenomena such as the resurgence and extreme aggressiveness of Islamic fundamentalism, the emergence of new holders of nuclear weapons in dictatorship states, and culminating, in the most dangerous way, with the political propaganda, economic and military aggression of the Russian Federation (Georgia - 2008, Ukraine -2014 through the annexation of Crimea, the invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, and the war continues with ferocity, now 10 months after its outbreak), all they threaten peace in Europe and the whole world. Under the given conditions, world leaders from NATO and/or EU member countries have the mission to understand the complexity of the threats and to find economic, financial and military solutions to stop the disaster generated by the Russian Federation.
