Summary/Abstract: The Istinić manuscript (1904) by Miloš Velimirović is a description of the ethnic, demographic, and geographical circumstances of the Metohija geographical micro-unit Prekovode in the first decades of the second half of the 19th century. The author lived on the border of the area described in this text for several years before 1874, and he was well acquainted with its territory and circumstances. The manuscript contains data on the Serbian sacral monuments and cemeteries in entirely Albanian settlements, archaeologically examined only as of the 20th century. The manuscript also indicates the ethnic pressure of Muslim Albanians on Orthodox Serbs, and the various methods Serbs used in trying to survive.
