Summary/Abstract: In the paper, we have analyzed two letters of Todor Stefanovic Vilovski sent to Franz Schießl von Perstorff, the chief of cabinet of Emperor Franz Joseph. The letters were written on 18 and 19 October, i.e. at the beginning of the Annexation Crisis. Vilovski wrote the letters with the purpose to inform Schießl about a confidential conversation he had with Milovan Milovanović, the Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs. Milovanović was in Vienna heading to Berlin, where he had the intention to start with a lobbying mission against the act of annexation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The aim of the mission, as Milovanović said to Vilovski, was to re-establish the previous status quo or gain some territorial compensation for Serbia. The letters presented in the paper are kept in the personal fund of Franz Schießl von Perstorff at the National Archives of Austria (Österreichisches Staatsarchiv).
