Summary/Abstract: This study concerns the new amendments to Law no. 193/200 regarding the unfair clauses in the contracts concluded between professionals and consumers by Romanian Government's Emergency Ordinance (GEO) no. 58/2022 for the modification and completion of some normative acts in the field of consumer protection. The analysis of these changes highlights the fact that the solutions provided by the Romanian legislator through the new normative act represent a legislative consecration of the principles derived from the vast jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Union in the field of unfair clauses.
