Summary/Abstract: The article considers the results of a qualitative analysis that examined the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on healthcare professionals in non-medical professions. These workers were among those in the „front line“ of a hitherto unknown global situation. In a very short period of time, they were required to adapt their established work procedures and to start observing strict measures in the workplace. In addition to the working environment, the pandemic also affected their personal lives. Some felt that their personal lives had ceased to exist, some suffered relationship breakdowns and/or faced rejection from their families and some had major problems combining their professional and parenting roles. A significant number struggled with health complications as a result of work overload. The third level in which the pandemic affected health workers concerned their feelings and emotions, which were characterised above all by a fear of the unknown, increased stress levels, and feelings of hopelessness and anger at the irresponsible approach of part of the public to compliance with anti-epidemic measures.
