Online culture - new forms of participation in culture as a space for adult education

Summary/Abstract: In this article, we attempt to show how the online participation in the cul- ture influenced the adult education in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The first part presents the most important difficulties and limitations in the functioning of the cultural sector in the first period of the lock-down. Then, we presented phenomena that shaped participation in culture before the pandemic, and which were intensified during the crisis. We also characterised the main directions of changes that may take place in the functioning of cultural institutions, in relation to the experience gained from working with recipients in virtual reality.
