Summary/Abstract: This research paper presents a didactic reflection on the acquisition of writing skills among learners of French as a second language in an Algerian primary school. Written communication is a complex task that entails cognitive capacity and efforts at the level of grammar, culture, and more importantly, the use of written production strategies. Introducing composition at primary schools must be reconsidered and reinvestigated from various perspectives. The present work studies writing skills from a neuro-scientific angle. The overarching purpose of this paper is, to view the influence of this discipline on the ability to produce and compose, mainly when it is related to a cognitive class. Further, the former explores the learners’ attention, comprehension and memorization.
