Summary/Abstract: Purpose – The aim of this study is to measure the perceived stress levels of the production and sales department employees of life and pension companies. In addition, it was aimed to determine whether the stress levels of employees differ according to demographic characteristics. Design/methodology/approach – Within the scope of the research, survey questions were asked to a total of 100 participants, 50 of whom work in the production department of life and pension companies operating in Turkey, and 50 employees who work in the sales department, using the online survey method. The obtained data were analyzed by the SPSS program. Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis H test were used to determine the relationships between the scales. Chi-square test was also used to analyze the data. Findings – As a result of the analysis, a statistically significant relationship was determined between the demographic characteristics of the participants and the departments they work in and their perceived stress levels. According to this relationship, it was determined that male, single and high-income participants were able to cope with the stress factor better. In the study, the stress levels of the production and sales department employees were measured according to the department they work in. As a result of the analysis, it has been determined that sales department employees realize more often that they cannot cope with the things they need to do and more often feel that the problems accumulate too much to cope with. It was concluded that the production department employees felt that they were able to handle everything more often and control the time more often. Discussion – The stress levels of life and pension insurance company employees may differ depending on the demographic characteristics and the departments they work in. By focusing on these reasons, studies can be carried out to reduce the stress level on employees.
