Better Fly than Dry: The Emancipated Aesthetician

Summary/Abstract: At the end of June 2022, the fairly new building of the Estonian Academy of Arts had the honour of hosting the eighth annual conference of The European Society for Aesthetics. The programme was filled with a range of topics, from politics and truth to poetry, theatre and video games. The biggest compliments from me go to the choices of keynote speakers at the conference, which featured Prof. Emmanuel Alloa from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, the newly appointed president of The European Society of Aesthetics Prof. Pauline von Bonsdorff, and Prof. Virve Sarapik from the Estonian Academy of Arts.
