Summary/Abstract: During the Second World War, the Allied Military Missions of Great Britain, the USA and the USSR were present and active on the territory of Macedonia through the Headquarters and the Macedonian partisan army units, and were also present for the First and Second Sessions of ASNOM. They had military, political, diplomatic and strategic interests in being present on the territory of Macedonia. Their presence had a wider international military, diplomatic and political significance in terms of accepting the Macedonian national liberation movement and the Macedonian partisan army as an equal party to the Allied Anti-Hitler Coalition. It also played a part in the acceptance and de facto recognition of the newly formed Macedonian state and its state institutions. Thus, it can be said that the international communication and the affirmation of Macedonian statehood and its interests began via the presence of Allied Military Missions during the Second World War.
