Summary/Abstract: The contract between the glazier Mikołaj Queisser of Vysoké nad Jizerou (German: Hohenstadt) and Jan of Głogów was entered into the record of the court of the Old Town in Prague on 15 November 1376. This unprecedented document concerns the sending of 3,200 glass pieces in two transports to an unknown address, intended to reach the customer in the spring of 1377. The glass contractor was Mikołaj, with the nickname “from the Kwisa”, so he may have been a Silesian who gained experience in one of the glassworks near Mirsk. The recipient of the material was Jan, who was described as "der Erber manne", who was likely a member of the Głogów elite, perhaps Jan Berwici – the dean of the Głogów collegiate and co-manager of the Wrocław bishopric after 1376. The high number of glass pieces indicates that a ready-made material was ordered for the monochromatic glazing of windows from multiple small and repetitive elements. This volume made it possible to glaze roughly 10 large windows in a Gothic building, perhaps for religious purposes. Assuming that the glass was to be delivered to Głogów, the most probable address seems to be the chapel of St. George, being erected at that time, confirmed before the beginning of 1385. The temple was in the care of the collegiate and was located near its walls.
