Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes Julian Tuwim’s poem-song for children – music was composed byWitold Lutoslawski – which is a poetic apologia for clean water. Micrological reflectionreveals the uniqueness of “Rzeczka” (Small River) through a juxtaposition with aquaticmasterpieces by Tuwim (Słopiewnie, Kwiaty polskie) and Mickiewicz (Nad wodą wielkąi czystą, Wsłuchać się w szum wód). Nawarecki deconstructs both the opposition ofgreat and minor literature and that of great and little waters (rivers and little rivers). Thearticle’s central theme is the essence of esthetic harmony supported by the mythologicalprotector of springs and streams: the nymph Harmonia. Such an interpretation enablesthe combination of poetics with hydronymy, hydrology, and ecology.
