Summary/Abstract: Wojciech Rychwalski of the Zaremba coat of arms (died 1545) was the owner of the town of Rychwał, a wealthy nobleman and common criminal. Despite belonging to the noble class, he was also engaged in robbery, helped by his gang. The article aims to present the figure of Wojciech Rychwalski - a raubritter from Greater Poland, who conducted numerous property disputes with his neighbors and used violence and intimidation. The main threads of the text are Rychwalski’s property disputes with his stepmother Urszula, which ended with a murder in the court in Konin in 1523 and a royal sentence, as well as an attack by Rychwalski’s gang on Wrocław merchants in 1541.
