Religious Identification in Autobiographies of Young Ukrainians. A Sociologicał Interpretation

Summary/Abstract: The article regards the religious identity of young people in the modern Ukrainian society. The qualitative analysis is based on the written students' autobiographies collected in various regions of the country. As a result of the texts interpretation, there were defined the following three types of religious identity among young people: deep, critical and situative-affiliative. Each of them has its own mixture of subjective and objective factors in construction of religious identity (intentions for choice, critical or uncritical perception of institutional religious behavior, biographical aspects that often push people to become religious).
