Summary/Abstract: This case study sought to identify possible relationship between significant moments in therapy and the change in client difficulties. The client was a 31-year-old man suffering from unspecified long term depressive symptomatology and psychosomatic problems. As part of the research, the client had undergone 20 sessions of individual therapy. The data was collected using combination of questionnaire and qualitative methods. After subsequent analysis we identified five categories capturing the links between significant moments and changes in clients difficulties. They are: „Acceptance of responsibility“, „Increase of Self-esteem and Finding of Own Value“, „Finding of Male Ideal“, „Realise What Adulthood Is“. Thereby, the therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client, the trust and the feeling that the client is being listened to play a big role in the therapeutic change.
