Summary/Abstract: The origin or first cause of all values, virtues and good deeds is God. Christian love is oriented equally towards God and towards the neighbor, having as a point of reference not a reality external to man, but his love for himself. The theological virtue of love is the special sign of the Christian. The most significant characteristic of Christian morality is love. It is the rule of perfect Christianity, its most exact definition, the fulfillment of the entire Law. It makes man perfect and shows the disciple of Christ. It is the root and crown of all virtues, conditioning them, giving them consistency and value. The virtue of charity represents the concrete and clear manifestation of sincere and disinterested love towards one’s neighbor, but not a love that remains only at the stage of theory, but a working, pragmatic love. The dark side of the world can only change through love, through which people renew themselves, so that they can then contribute to the renewal of the world, through a work of reconciliation in the spirit of love.
