Summary/Abstract: Our article is dedicated to the iconostasis of the St. John the Baptism in Iassy which recently was replaced in its church after a long, difficult and expensive process of conservation and restoration. Firstly, we pointed out a few information about the church of St. John, insisting on the presentation of the dramatic fisical situation of the iconostasis which required specialists intervention for conservation, restoration and renewal. In addition, a short description of the iconostasis composition together with some theological meanings of church icons and iconography are included in our article. Finaly, we referred to the Service of Re-consacration of the iconostasis which took place on the day of celebration dedicated to St. John the Baptism, 7th of January 2020.
