Summary/Abstract: At the Military-Historical Archive in Moscow we discovered a plan of Ștefănești, made by the Russians in 1769, immediately after the conquest of Moldavia. The plan, although schematic, is important due to its antiquity and some details, such as showing the roads, the topography of Ștefănești, the place where merchants, the military and not only crossed the Prut River, etc. This cartographic source is the oldest Russian plan of a Romanian hamlet known to us.
