Critical education of law

Summary/Abstract: Legal education in Romania is informed by a deficient epistemology that puts forth a monodisciplinary understanding of the law, favouring positivist explanations to the detriment of those that place law in its social context. However, in order to educate citizens who are democratically engaged, one needs to reform legal education so that the law is approached through the filter of a critical and interdisciplinary thinking that does not confound law with justice, nor the legal rules with the legal phenomenon in its entirety.
