BIBILOGRAPHY OF DUŠAN KOVAČEVIĆ’S WORK WITH AN CHRONOLOGICAL OVERVIEW OF THE THEATRE PREMIERES

Summary/Abstract: Dušan Kovačević is considered to be one of the most influential Serbian playwrights. The aim of this study is to give a chronological overview of Kovačević’s complete body of work, which mainly consists of theatre plays. The paper has been divided into two parts. The first part deals with chronological outline of Kovačević’s work, which includes not only all of the available editions of his literary work but also interviews, acceptance speeches, translations etc. The second part is set out to determine all of the premieres including information about theatre director and time and place the premiere was staged. This body of information then enables further examination of the impact his work has had over the years i.e. which of his plays are considered to be a classic (possibly including them in school required reads) or the mere reception and popularity of certain plays in certain times.
