Summary/Abstract: The study's goal is to compare students with normal development and gifted students' perceptions of citizenship. The study was conducted within the framework of causal comparison research for this purpose. The research group consists of 149 gifted and 123 normally developing sixth grade secondary school students. The citizenship perception scale was used to collect data for the study. The collected data was analyzed using statistical methods such as the t test, percentage, and frequency. According to the findings of the study, there are significant differences in the perceptions of citizenship of gifted students and students with normal development. Furthermore, gifted students outperformed students with normal development on the mean scores of democratic citizenship and traditional citizenship, which are sub-dimensions of the scale. When the total score of the citizenship perception scale and the mean scores according to the sub-dimensions were compared in terms of gender, no significant difference was observed among students with normal development, whereas the mean scores of the gifted female students were significantly higher than the male students.
