Summary/Abstract: In this study, the importance of the game in education within the framework of the concept of Homo Ludens (people who play games) will be emphasized, and in parallel with the research and investigations on the subject, determinations and evaluations will be made. In this way, it is aimed to contribute to the literature and to support the studies to be carried out on the subject in the context of the conceptual framework of the human being who plays the game. Again, within the scope of the study, after giving various definitions of the game as a concept, it will be examined what it means to be a Homo Ludens (a person who plays a game) in education. It can be said that this definition is revealed in game-based learning. This application, which is based on teaching while entertaining, contains both benefits and difficulties for the teacher and the student. If initiatives and arrangements are made to eliminate the difficulties encountered in practice, the affective, cognitive, intellectual and physical success of the students can be maximized with this method, which provides permanent learning quickly and effectively.
