Summary/Abstract: We will show in this communication that the French Regions, not against but alongside other local authorities, have at their disposal many levers and means of action to mobilize in favour of the circular economy, especially since they also have the possibility of integrating into their Regional Planning and Sustainable Development and Territorial Equality Plan (SRADDET) a global orientation project promoting the circular economy, as the Centre-Val de Loire Region is currently doing, for example. All in all, regional action in favour of the circular economy can be part of a Sustainable Territorial Development strategy, in other words a global territorial project, on this scale. This is the hypothesis that we will try to verify and illustrate, based on the work of the prospective section of the CESER Centre-Val de Loire relating to the possible scenarios for promoting the circular economy on the horizon 2030 in this Region.
