Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of a preliminary corpus analysis of lexico-semantic coordination, that is, constructions consisting of coordinated phrases bearing different grammatical functions, e.g.: kto i gdzie, nikt i nikomu, wszyscy i zawsze. The author analyzed corpora containing the oldest Polish texts (before 1500), texts from 1601–1772 and texts from 1830–1918. Based on the data from those corpora, it was shown that lexico-semantic coordination has been present in Polish since at least the 17th century. Individual examples of such constructions may be even found in the texts from before 1500. However, their analysis is hindered by various problems, including assessing whether a coordinated phrase belongs to the structure of the sentence, as well as depending on the original Latin texts.
