Summary/Abstract: According to a number of articles published in the Music journal Zvuk, the Austrian-Swiss musicologist Willi Reich stood out among his colleagues. In his eleven articles, he reported to Yugoslav audiences on musical events from Venice, Florence, Brussels, Vienna, Berlin, Dresden, Zurich, Geneva, and Basel, while publishing reviews of premieres of Alban Berg and Richard Strauss’s works, and a study dedicated to Arnold Schönberg and his disciples and followers. In this paper, Reich’s articles, originally published in the interwar Zvuk, are divided into three categories: 1. reports from music events, festivals, and concerts; 2. reviews of premiere performances, 3. studies. Although very informative, Reich’s articles are characterized by elements of subjectivity in choosing a topic and in making value judgments. In addition to the systematization and analysis of Reich’s articles, the study points out the subjective attitude of his writings about the music of his close associates, as well as the uniformity of Reich’s chosen topics.
