Summary/Abstract: Doina Uricariu’s lyrics are, above all, the testimony of a lucid lyrical consciousness, for which the precariousness of the world is redeemed in the expressive clarity of the verse, in the word invested with poetics, transfigured by the flash of metaphor. The lyrics often express a nostalgic perspective, in which the dream acquires elegiac words, and the remembrance restores, from fragments of time and life, an existential path not devoid of the aromas of a rhetoric of illusion and mythization of the world, in an evocative lyricism, with melancholy iridescence, discreet and enveloping as a palimpsest of a deceptive past.
