Summary/Abstract: An unknown episode in the political activities of former Armenian Prime Minister Aram Sargsyan in 2003 concerns his contacts with Lech Kaczynski, then president of Warsaw and future president of Poland, and shows in a new light the role of the Polish politician in Caucasus politics and the US-Russian rivalry even before the 2008 Georgian crisis.
