Summary/Abstract: Teaching music and visual arts to children can be seen as the keyto their development. In his article, Jakub Adamczewski discusses the cur-rent shape of the organization of the teaching and planning processes ofthese two subjects in the context of the Polish primary school. Adamczew-ski’s main aim is to present new ideas and good practices, as based on histeaching experience, in the hope that they can be used to improve art educa-tion. This kind of knowledge, deriving from both a review of the literature onthis subject and pedagogical experience, may be of value for teachers and ac-ademics involved in the education of art teachers at the primary-school level.
