Summary/Abstract: I recently read Kenan Malik's text "I support England, but only in the stadium", which reminded me of a similar fan experience of mine. Namely, at the beginning of 2011, I became the ambassador of the Republic of Croatia in Macedonia,2 and in the middle of that year, a similar sports competition, the European basketball championship, was held in Lithuania. The Macedonian basketball team also took part in that championship. The Croatian national team also participated, but in that competition, the Croatian national team fared poorly, it was eliminated in the first round of the competition. Unlike Croatia, in that championship, the Macedonian basketball players played excellently, they won a great fourth place.
