Summary/Abstract: Library of Estonia pointed out in the Strategic Development Plan 2009-2013 – to develop the NLE e-library to the same level as the traditional library in all its functions. Digitization, long-term preservation and accessibility to digital collections are the priorities for the library. These priorities are supported by the national level initiatives, such as the digital archive DIGAR, which operates as the archive of Estonian printed cultural heritage, Federated Search Portal, and web archiving among other activities. Also, the participation in the international projects and portals The European Library, Europeana, World Digital Library, and eBooks on Demand are important for the achievement of the aims of the library.
