Summary/Abstract: The sum ∑𝑛𝑚ℎ≤𝑥 𝑛𝑚 will be estimated in this paper by using elementary methods. The sum ∑𝑛𝑚ℎ≤𝑥 𝑛𝑚 is a generalization of the divisor problem and it is applied when estimating the number of subgroups of the finite index in crystallographic groups ([1], [2]).
